Adobe really wants to get really serious business in web application. Kuler (http://kuler.adobe.com/) is an online color picker application that “interactively” reacts to the main colour you pick and suggests other colour that harmonious to the one you picked.

ColorJack (http://www.colorjack.com/) is good when you do not have access to Flash plugins. Color Match is nice as well.

While 4096 Color Wheel are something which would be more appealing towards web developer/designer that is looking for a guide towards web safe colour design.

From Mono, comes Monoface: the brief writes itself….
This is a holiday card that is certainly a bit different, a highly interactive real people Mr. Potato Head. Using the faces of the agency’s fifteen employees, the user can exchange their facial features to create some interesting new faces. 759,375 faces to be exact, the site is currently being used as a teaching tool in a high school math class.
The photography and blending of the images is amazing. The only thing missing is the ability to build and save a face to the gallery, rather than have the gallery prepopulated with all 759,375 options. The gallery is also a little too small to actually be useful but still and impressive and fun effort, and the coolest Christmas card you’ve ever seen….

Used on our desktops, toolbars, web-pages and other applications, computer icons draw from real world objects and have been known to take on the form of a file folder, paint brush, speaker etc., symbols we can easily identify and associate with. Individuals even use avatars (a form of icon) to represent themselves on instant messaging programs, virtual computer games and various internet forums.
Computer icons have become an important part of our visual language, so much so that these digital computer icons are making their return into the real world. The Flashforward Film Festival honors the best Flash work. Flash work is nominated by the public in a variety of categories, then evaluated by a panel of expert judges. The finalists in every category are also eligible for the People’s Choice award, determined by public online vote.
During each Flashforward Conference there is a live Film Festival Awards Ceremony. Every finalist is showcased with a short video trailer highlighting the best aspects of the work. The winners in each category, along with the People’s Choice winner, are announced and awarded with the famous Big Rubber Arrow.
